Hi folks- I have about 2mm play in one front strut ball joint (it's an ABC strut, factory). Mercedes says that they do not replace ball joints, and instead they replace the whole strut. HOWEVER, Rebuild Master Tech offers for sale a ball joint which they claim is a replacement for the ABC strut ball joint. I called them and asked about this. They were quite rude and refused to put me on the line with a tech, so I could not get a straight answer.

Has anyone here replaced an ABC strut ball joint? If so, what tool did you use? What shop did it?
