Brake squeal.

Does everybody have some brake squeal? Mine increased so I bedded in the pads a little. The squeal was reduced to almost nothing and now back to some squeal (not a lot but noticeable on low speed normal and light pressure stops). I don't have any squeal when I brake hard or with authority. Thanks.

That's a common problem with the 2003-present SL's. I can't say anything to help you with that, good luck!

too many to list
I dont know if this helps...but I had the same problem on my 04 G500 and 03 S600 and I just went in and they replaced the "defective" brake pads under warranty.

It's best to have your dealer replace the pads AND rotors.

Although it would be great to get new rotors, I doubt they would stop the squeal. The cause is usually due to dirt in the brakes. Try give the whole area a good clean when the pads are changed, and make sure they put generous serving of high heat type grease behind the pads. This is put on to stop squealing, so this may be a cause of squealing.
