'04 SL 55 AMG

Mercedes-Benz SL 55 AMG R230 Compressor drops/failure/broken

I have a 2004 SL 55 AMG and sometimes when I accelerate the compressor does not react, but only the engine, so you don't get the full power when flooring it. It's like the compressor drops sometimes. Then I wait for 2 minutes and it is back again. Does anyone know what this problem is?

S/C pulley clutch perhaps?

Thank you for your response, thats what our local garage said as well, so we had that replaced. But it still lacks of power sometimes. It almost feels like the compressor is tired after a couple of full throttles, could that be? (Because after starting and flooring it, the first time it always works, but after a longer 'faster drive' it sometimes just drops the compressor and you only accelerate with the engine. )

Maybe it has something to do with the accelerator pedal. I really don't know.
