Buddy's engine mounts were completely shot at 70K miles.

Car vibrated like crazy at idle, both engine mounts were shot. They've collapsed and all of the fluid had leaked out.

On a V8 this is a very simple replacement, everything can be done underneath the car, without having to remove the exhaust. All Data gave us 7 hours to do both sides, I got both done in about 1.5 hours for my first time, next time around i'll be able to do both in an hour. I have a lift btw, and you do need a special tool though, this guy

After i replaced it engine idles smooth, and it feels like a Benz again and not a Kia.

No they never last 70K miles! They had failed a long time ago! I rarely see good ones after 40K and mine normally don't make it to 35K

Sorry didn't take pics along the way, the mounts were busted and was dripping oil on my hands and i didn't feel like grabbing my phone to take pics. Basically just remove all of the undercover panel and jack up the engine, there's only 2 bolts holding the engine mount, a 13mm on the bottom, and a 16mm up top, that you have to use the special tool ($19) to get access to from the top, then just jack up the engine and remove it. On the driver's side, you kinda have to bend the power steering line a little to wiggle it out, it wont' do any damage, just bend it back when you're done.

AMG's, CTS-V's, SRT's
Some have had problems with engine mounts in only 10k. I suspect his engine mounts were shot a long time ago.

I dont want to thread jack but if you or your buddy are interested in poly engine mounts we manufacture them for this vehicle.
