New Tire Suggestions?

09 SL

I'm a porsche guy and live by Michelins...PS2 on my 997 and PSS on my boxster s. I'm thinking PSS for the SL?? Anything else I should consider. (experience with the PSS on the heavy rear end 997 was extreme squirm on the tread blocks at 90 and above, so much so I ditched them immediately, however they seem perfect for the Box).

I'm also feeling a little "bump steer" in the rear end, sort of wiggling over bumps. To me it feels like a little toe-out and an alignment issue, but thought I would mention it.

Thanks for any suggestions.

'94 SL600,'05 SL600,'06 S65,'07 E63,'14 E63S,'09SL600 all sold, ‘15 S65,‘18 E63S,'17 SL65, '17S65Cab
Our new E63S came with PS4’s. Based on our experience so far I would consider them for the SL. I have had Continental 5P’s on the 2009 SL600 for several years and would use them again. The new SL65 we took delivery of last week came with the 5P’s. Seem to be the perfect tire for the car.
Our 2009 SL600 is totally steady, no sign of any rear end instability. The car has 30K miles. I found 38psiF, 34psiR to be the best setup for the SL600.

I am very happy with my Michelin Super Sports. They are also not unidirectional, and they grip well. I just replaced a 4-year old set of Michelin PS2's with little mileage because of tire rot, inasmuch as they leaked at the rims of the wheels.

I've run both PS2 an P-Zero's. I'd say both are solid.

Thanks for the comments. I think I'm going to give the PS 4S a shot. I have heard great things about them.

Awesome. Getting them mounted up today hopefully!

Side note...my 09 SL550, 27k miles, has the original Potenza 050's with 07 date codes!! Can't believe people run tires like this. They are so cracked, even between the smaller tread blocks! Non car guys are like "plenty of tread left on these babies!". SMH Two things I don't mind spending on...tires and alignments!
