Akebono for 2008 SL55 - not available?
A lot of high praise for Akebono brake pads by SL55 owners but I can't seem to find a supplier that can get them for my 2008 SL55 w/o the P30 performance package. Anyone install them on their 2008 model and know where to get them? I would think the part numbers would be the same as for prior years but I've had no luck from the usual sources. Is there something different about the 2008 SL55?

Yes, the '07-08 models had upgraded 6 piston calipers which require a different pad sizing. Even EPC doesn't seem to offer a Red Stuff pad for these models at least as far as IO can determine. Looks like I'll have to stick with the OEM pads unless anyone can point me to a low dust ceramic pad that will fit.
