Radiator Fan Failure
My radiator cooling fan seems to have decided it needs a vacation & only works when it feels like, which is quite rare nowadays
Being hands on & ready to tear it apart; was wondering if this is repairable rather than replaceable, hopefully saving a small fortune!?
Any suggestions, links etc....will be appreciated.
Cheers.

The problem is more then likely not your fan motor but the module/controller that sits on the shroud where the wires go into so replacing the whole assembly would be the best option. Been down that path last year with my e55, just ended up replacing the whole assembly. Pretty easy. I went aftermarket with no issues thus far.

So, back to the challenge....stripped the controller module to pieces & took it to my tech to have a look.
it does have 2 ICs that have shorted. All 6 on the board are the same; B80NF0
Problem now, I camnot find it locally; any suggestions where best to buy on line?
Either that, or anyone have a defective controller I can take the components from?

Cooling fan assembly is around $500 . Changed mine a couple of years ago .
If it goes , 55K engine overheats very quickly .
