ODD WARNING LIGHT!
I have had my '03 SL55 since new and it has been great, with very few issues. This one is a stumper...
A couple of years ago I began getting a white BRAKE warning in the cluster. My dealer informed me that part of the Sensotronic brake system needed to be replaced. I know about the tool that resets this thing, but I opted to replace it. The dealer replaced it and I was good to go. However, the warning would periodically come up. Since there never had been a decrease in braking ability, I just lived with it...... until now.
I had to bring it in for another reason and informed them that the warning light that was supposed to be fixed when they replaced the brake part previously had never went away. My advisor said they would figure it out. Well, it's been 2 weeks and the techs can't find any braking issues, nor can they figure out how to get rid of the warning, nor what may be causing it.
If there are any techs on here that may have an idea, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

It turned out to be the electronic ignition switch that was the problem. It ties together the car's ability to shift out of park as well as that odd brake warning.
When I picked the car up today, my advisor informed me that MB was now warranting the SBC pump that I did 2 years ago (that was what we thought caused the warning back then), and they are going to issue me a full refund on that service! Parts and labor!
