PVC Pipe for KC tank?
Starting to mod my 06 SL55.
I ordered a Killer Chiller, and plan to split the IC cooling and install a KC with a bypass valve for the stock heat exchanger.
Spoke with Joe K regarding getting 1-2 gallons of coolant in the IC loop, and I’m considering an easy to make section of PVC pipe as a tank.
I have not installed the “split” (with the BMW P/S res) but I think with that additional capacity in the system, and using larger tubing (1” or so) that a short length of 5” PVC would give me the additional capacity I’m seeking.
I also ordered a 010 IC pump and one step colder plugs - all this is meant to handle changing to a 77/76 mm S/C pulley (with a tune).
I plan to install the KC and the tank in the grill area. I’d welcome suggestions. I think I’ll be able to find a clamp to mount the PVC tank.
The fancy custom aluminum tanks seem like overkill and would tend to warm the fluid.

So there will be a part number on your original intercooler pump. If it is 0392022003, it is the old style and it would be a good idea to replace with 0392022010. Its a plug and play easy to install and not an expensive part.
