Visited my local German hot rod shop today and got some quotes. Based on what I'd read here I was considering replacing the Valve Block assemblies (2) on my 2008 55 (26k miles). Then I learned the parts alone are $5k. Wow, not gonna do that. And according to the guy I spoke with, cleaning the units is not really a very effective option.

Accumulator replacement, another proactive maintenance opportunity, was quoted at $1100 installed (2 units, 1 for each axle). Sound about right?
