Should our seats by hugging/dynamic?

I was driving my buddies CL63 W216 and his seats hug him when he makes a turn left/right/ at high speeds.

I know we have dynamic seats, should they be hugging us?

Thanks,
DG2

I don't think so with our cars. I test drove a SL 400 when I was looking and that too had the "hugging" seats. Interesting option.

I don't think the pre-facelift R230 had hugs

'94 SL600,'05 SL600,'06 S65,'07 E63,'14 E63S,'09SL600 all sold, ‘15 S65,‘18 E63S,'17 SL65, '17S65Cab
The R230 seats have a massage function but not the "hugging" function. The side bolsters can be inflated to suit the driver but that remains a fixed pressure. The R231 has the full seat dynamic function including the curve dynamic "hugging" function.
