Upgraded IC pump but no change
Well my biggest nightmare came true.
I changed my stock IC pump to the Bosch 010 and I still can only get one or two hard accelerations and then when I press on the gas pedal, I get an acceleration slower than a Yugo.
Power returns after I drive slowly at low
RPM's for 5 minutes or so.
I'm disgusted at this point. Don't know what to do next.
Any input will be appreciated.
Thanks

The system should self bleed - but there are lots of posts on this site and U-tube on how to bleed the intercooler system.
Here is an informative thread on MBWorld. Look at post #25 and make sure you look at the left (R230) coolant system set up photo for your car.

This is for bleeding an intercooler system on a W211 - E55, but describes the same techniques. Lots of information in the E55 section of the site that relates to your 2003 SL55.

MBWorld Fanatic!
Datalog your IATS..is the pump even working? Check your fuses.
Have you replaced the pedal yet?
You can get a cheap WiFi or Bluetooth dongle on eBay.
I was driving with a dead IC pump and never even knew, I think I hit it as high as 195 and it still pulled and pulled, never reached 210 where the shut off is.
