Adding Bluetooth to my SL55 AMG

I know this has been covered numerous times in different posts. I have searched but haven't clearly found what Bluetooth puck (part #) I need for my 2007 SL55. My car does have the #389 Code from the factory. Thank you.

Code 389 is Hands Free Communication System. The Bluetooth puck fits in the upper portion of the console and looks like this:

Haha! I always wondered what that device was for. Since I don't use the MB command system in my 08 SL55 (and intend to replace it with modern day technology) is there any other reason to retain?

So I purchased this exact puck. I have been able to plug it into the port in the upper armrest and connect my phone to it "MB Phone System" using my Bluetooth. But that's as far as I can get. If I touch TEL on the COMAND system, it says telephone unavailable. I have searched YouTube and all over the internet but I can't find the correct procedure to connect. Anyone have any suggestions?

Under the cap toward the back is a code. Just slide the small cover backwards and it should come off. Press and hold the MB star until the blue lights start flashing. Make sure your phone is discoverable. When it connects to your phone, it will prompt you for the code. Enter the code on your phone. Once paired, it will show on the command system. If it still does not work, you may have to take it to the dealership and they can program it into the loop.

I've gone through all of that and I can find it on my phone and connect with the code. But it will not come through the Comand system. Sounds like the "loop" has to be programmed. Is there any way to do it without the dealer and the STAR system?
