SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Wheels
The tires were adequately 'sticky' then, and the wheels/tires been in storage in the climate controlled lower level of our house since.I returned from the track 'fun'. Make me a fair offer and they are yours.

I'm sure you know that heat cycling is what hardens the rubber on tires, since these have not had very many heat cycles, and have been stored in an 68-70 degree environment, the tires are still in good condition.
Yes, Phil bought my '90 SEC. Small world!!
Cheers,

He bought my 1989 560 SL, 1991 560 SEC, and my 2005 SL 500. The 560 SL was all original including belts and hoses, the oil and tires were the only
things it wasn't born with and it looked better than new.
Sounds like your 'cars were in great condition. How many cars does Phil have at this point? I think he said mine was the 3rd or 4th he owned.
Gary--
I wouldn't know what their worth, shoot me a number. What kind of tires?
I'm sure Phil's up to about 80 by now. When did you sell him the car?
My email is 560sec@charter.net, easier than the forum
