R231 brake assembly on r230
Yes I know the general answer will be it's not a great chassis for racing. I'm thinking more hot rod as I have Kleeman C55 (so that chassis covered) to Extreme Iron domestic to OLOA GT2 so I'm NOT looking for lap times.....just grins. But even on my 19k mile mint SL55 I cant get accustomed to SBC.
I know many speculate the r231 may have different firewall as they moved away from SBC. Does anyone really know? Could it be done w standalone ABS? Or as a guy from Russia on here was attempting to install a simple race setup, the way to go? Thoughts......I may cave in end and go CLK but the SL has my heart in looks. No not cutting up my driver....just have extra 20k mile 113k drivetrain so no cherry SL55 will be hurt, lol.

I'm more specifi9talking about the system. I dont see an issue with the caliper design or rotor size or heat sync. It's the SBC and no master cylinder characteristics I'd like to alter. MB did it themselves by the time of the R231.
