Hello everyone, just picked up a new 2005 SL55. Awesome car. Silver/Charcoal.

I have the keyless go option which I really like but would like to turn off the annoying reminder noise. Is this possible? Can I do it myself or is this something the dealer needs to do?

No idea whether you can turn it off. We do not have it here, so can only assume it's MB's reaction to the litigious nature of American society. You reap what you sow, or something like that (apologies to Lou Reed).

not in australian version as well, read manual again. no mention of beep. i am interested in what it is reminding you of ?

this has been discussed in the E class forum, and ppl have said there is no way to get rid of it. the best way to stop it is to open your door, and press the reset button for the gauges, not sure where it is on the SL, but it should be around the cluster, another way is to open the door, and press a menu button on the steering wheel. i am not sure, but i do think someone told me that the menu button doesnt work, but hopefully one way will work.
