I searched first:) 2003 SL55 Vario Roof issues
Greetings. I have an SL55 giving me the "Please close trunk partition" no go on the Vario .....jumped the switch still no joy. Have continuity and confirmation the jump was good. No power to the switch sensor wires even operating the open top lever. I had it working jumped before. It's a project 
It is on its second battery module, so the trunk lining is out of it. Here is where I think I'm hanging up... the PSE pump is out for service. I did set up the star and the only code I got was for not getting voltage from the PSC pump. Are they connected? Will the top not work with the PSE pump removed?

The roll bar operates beautifully, the pump sounds the best it has ever sounded and I get a very positive lock on the top.
All this after I swapped out the front locking cylinder with some tech support from top hydraulics..... hopefully the last R&R of the hydraulic cylinders for a while but I feel like I can go pro So far both trunk lock cylinders. the trunk lid one, both lock pawl. The biggest issue is fixing the plastic trim on the car. It's rough. The fastener mounts, broken panels...doing some plastic welding with epoxy. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Thank you very much Bob! Hope two get my PSC back soon. Dying to get the top down this is my "season" now. Winter in San Juan is magical, Mid to low 70's evening to about 9am.
