Exclamation No brakes!?

I have a 2007 SL65 and was going through some basic maintenance and flushed the brake fluid as I have done many times in other cars. I thought I was very careful not to get air in the system. When I get in the car and turn the key to ignition 2 position there is a ticking or clicking noise coming from the ABS module and it last for several seconds after I start the car. Also....the car now has NO brakes at all! The brake peddle goes to the floor and there are red ABS brake warning lights going off on the dash. What have I done and how do I fix it?

You need positive pressure on the brake fluid reservoir or you will get air bubbles. Sounds like this is what occurred.

You may need to bleed again with a Motive brake bleed bottle or similar. Works well and is a one man tool for bleeding.

This is a brake by wire system and needs special care. Proceed with caution and study before diving in.
Ask questions and use the search function...many answers to your questions.

I used a Capri vacuum suction brake tool at each of the calipers that I have used on different BMW's through the years with no problems. Could it be as simple as resetting the computer?

You need to wait for the car to go into sleep mode and then disconnect the SBC Pump before bleeding or
changing brake pads. The pump sensed the pressure spike and shut down,

Unless you have a scan tool that can reset the SBC, it's a trip to the dealer.
Icarsoft makes the MB II that can reset it.
