There's a guy that goes by the tag FisherFast, appears to do beautiul upgrade wo, on primarily SL products. He posted a video on a new supercharger pulley product from Grip Tec that can be used in lieu of a belt wrap kit. Link is below
Anybody used this product? If so, what's your opinion in terms of utilizing the traditional belt wrap kit solution to address pulley slippage? It has my attention given the advantage of overall lighter weight vs. stock pulley.
I've just received my VRP 72mm pulley back from ZPE, the company that performs the GripTex coating process. Even though I have yet to put it on my SL55, I am impressed with their process, quality of packaging and coating, and the GripTex coating itself as opposed to my other pulley that has zero coatings. I will still use a belt wrap kit and the scatter shield as I have done since the beginning. I view GripTec as an add-on, not a substitute for a belt wrap kit. This is my opinion and I'll know better when I install the pulley in the spring along with an 82mm throttle body, snout, adaptor plate, and revised tune. But, just by looking, it's a quality product.
