you need to go to a auto paint supply, They sell sem or dupont vinyl and leather color. They will match your color. Usually buy 1 pt or 1 qt cans. This is what pros use

I have done a lot of leather refurbishment/dyeing (really painting) over the past ~20 years on a variety of German cars. I've always liked the product from ColorPlus www.colorplus.com
However, I recently found a new source that is much less expensive and gives great service and results. Company name is Seat Doctors. www.seatdoctors.com . I bought 3 different colors for three different cars from Andy (owner). He had the formulas for 2 of them,, one of which - for my BMW was a perfect match, while the other for my Mini Cooper was a 98% match, and he is sending some 'toner' for that dye.. He did not have a formula for the third - for my Aston DB9,-, so I sent a 1" square cut of leather from under a seat. At no additional charge, he prepared the dye which matches perfectly. I bought 8 oz of each of these three dyes, which would probably do two seats. I only had small sections to refurbish (driver's bolster wear), and probably used less than an ounce.of each. If I ever need another dye, I'll certainly go back to Andy.

I used Colourlock. They are in England. I used it on our Bentley and our SLK. Perfect match. It is a dye. Check out their web site they have just about any thing you could want to repair leather.

I have also used Colourlock. I had some hard plastic trim on a BMW 8 series that was scratched. Their color was a perfect match. Amazon is a source. Pretty expensive by the time shipping is included.

I was in the same situation and could not figure out what color I needed. I contacted: http://www.leatherique.com/
with my vin# and they matched the designo black color on my SL leather wonderfully.
The color did not appear on their web-site though so I e-mailed them. They were very good to help and figure out what I needed.
