I know, double negative. any whoo. 2004 SL55 It is difficult to read my dash. Seems like the dash is always in dim. The dimmer knob doesn't seem to do anything to adjust the brightness.
If I'm wearing sunglasses forget about ready the displays. I know my light sensor works. Radio will change from Orange to Blue depending on sun light level.

Is there any fix to this?

it does sound like a dash light dimmer switch issue? especially since you've ruled out the light sensor as the issue Have you scouted YouTube?
