Front Bumper Cover Repair/Respray
Hi folks. Just thought I would share that I had this done the other day. The prior owner used the car as a curb surfboard, so I decided to just bite the bullet and get it done. Tons of scratches and cracks were repaired. Total cost was $950. Looks brand new. I know I won’t get it back when I eventually sell, but will sure be a good selling point.

Saw your BAT comment on this (I'm W140). That's also the last detail that I need to attend to since buying my SL65. The previous owner left some scrapes and though not real noticeable, I want it refinished. It's just the bottom, no cracks, so I'm not planning on doing the whole bumper cover.

Your job sounds much less involved and can likely be easily blended. Sounds like a few hundred bucks. I normally would not have had the extensive work professionally done. I may have simply done my own sub-par rendition of same. However, I was fortunate enough to earn some extra money recently through work, so I justified it that way.

I thought about that, but opted not to do so. I don’t drive the car often, and rarely on the highway to collect stone chips, which would likely account for the majority of damage I would incur.
