Wide body kit, SPDV6

Hi all,

Yea, I know this has been discussed previously, but: Anyone actually installed a kit form SPDV6?
I'm in the process of (maybe) getting a wide body kit to my SL65. I want a kit as close to SL65AMG black series, and after days of searches I found that the SPDV6 kit is quite close. Non of the other kits on the market have the wide aggressive front...
So, anyone installed this kit? Is the quality ok, and what about the fit? Does it still hold up after a few years?

Also, seems like they are not too keen of selling their stuff.... Have a hard time of getting my questions answered...

Tks!!

I am also in the market and would presumably purchase this kit as well. Interested to see what all is needed in addition to OEM items (2 new style headlights, grille, brackets, fender liners, etc.)

As far as I know the following is required:
New Headlight (facelift)
Head light brackets
Adapter socket (harness) for headlight
New ballasts, not sure if this is needed or not
Grille
Badges (the old could be used but "V12" looks different)
Rear mirrors
Tail lights (facelift)
Brake light (white)
Exhaust tips
Windsheild washer tank (although the old can be used after some heating and bending)

Did I miss anything?

The white car on their web site is for sale on ebay.
probably cheaper to buy that car and sell yours to recoup some cost.

He is asking $95K. The car looks awsome though!
According to my calculations (after selling the excess parts from my car), I will end up in the $20k neighborhood for the total job, and that includes some really nice forged wheels. Way cheaper to install a kit on my car. Also, my car is already lowered, got a Kleemann Tune and only has 30k miles.

That car has been on ebay for quite some time. Sold a few times for best offer. Back on there.

Sarona design has a kit. Did you check them out? Also what are you looking at for wheels? Ive been thinking of doing this to my sl65 also but still looking for wheels.

The SPDV6 is, by far in my opinion, the best looking wide body kit out there. Do not underestimate the cost of the conversion. It will be very expensive and the $20k estimate is probably close if you can get the parts and wheels cheap enough and find a competent body shop to do the work. SPDV6 also sells the right offset/width wheels to go with their kit at a reasonable price.

Sarona want 9 995 usd for their kit! (listed on their website). I will contact them to find out what they want for it.
As far as wheels. Since my car is black, I'm thinking black wheels. I love these wheels from AC forged, but they are quite expensive...
