Cold startup problem
We had a few cold evenings and mornings on the east coast recently and I'm experiencing a problem that I hope some knowledgeable forum guys could assist me.
During cold mornings, upon initial startup my 03 SL55 AMG turnsover but never actually starts. Its kind of a studdering, hesitating attempt at starting up but I turn the ignition switch off because I don't want it continuing.
The display shows a white color, no red, temperature symbol and visit workshop.
The car starts up upon the second try.
I checked coolant level which was a little low and topped off with coolant. There are no coolant leaks visible.
Any ideas or suggestions on a possible sensor malfunction or vacuum being caused by something? Thanks in advance

I would also check both batteries. I had an issue that the car wouldn’t start sometimes on first try but would start on the second. CPS was already knew and my starter battery was six years old. Changed the starter battery and haven’t had any issues since
