Hi guys. I have a 2014 sl63 amg in the Philippines which started having this problem a few weeks ago. When i try to open the automatic trunk it goes up about 4 inches then comes back down. I can manually open it and hold it up but doesnt stay open on its own. I tried resetting it by holding the trunk open button for a while 20 seconds or so. It is the button next to the lock button in the trunk sorry dont know what its called. I also looked thru the system for a trunk height limiter but didnt have one. The hard top opens and closes fine. Also while holding the trunk up with my hands if i push the trunk open button the trunk goes down automatically but if i hold it up it while it tries to shut, it automatically goes up all the way to the open position but doesnt stay there. It feels like the automatic trunk system turns off and the trunk is manual and comes back down. I checked the user book but says nothing about this or any kind of trunk settings. Any ideas what could be wrong? Any help would be appreciated guys. Thanks

I think you need new shocks, they push it up and keep it held up. w/out shocks it wont work no matter what
