CAT Delete Opinions
About to install MBH LT headers on my 2008 SL 55 AMG. Retiring shortly to a state where there are no tail pipe emissions taken. Don't plan to ever sell the car, now at 39k miles.
I can save about $700 if I don't replace primary cats with high flow ones. I'm being advised that it's best to just delete the stock primaries altogether.
Anybody have experience with this set up, and if so, how offensive is the exhaust smell and does this increase the probability of drone?

You can find plenty of sound clips on YouTube. I had mid length headers with cat delete on my clk55...the smell bothered me so much I put cats on (in addition to emission requirements in my state). The car did sound amazing to me-gf at the time did not like it!
