Hello all

I'm hoping some one can help I have a SL55 AMG Year 2003-04,and the front gill is missing that covers the oil cooler

I have found some grills but need advise if I'm going to order the correct grill

I think its part number no A2308851753

But a part shop is telling me its part no A2308850223
But this looks plastic mine side grills are pressed metal mesh

Any advise please

I believe the correct part number is A2308850053. (about $300 ... ouch)

My SL55 and my wifes SL500 both suffered the need for the lower mesh grill replacement
I replaced hers with a factory part, very expensive, thought it was closer to $400
When mine needed replacement I went with an after market grill.
Purchased off of eBay, was very sceptical because of the price $75, but 30 day returns and good reviews.
Just search on eBay for the following "Mercedes SL55 amg Lower middle Mesh Grille 2003-2006 models black"
To mount it properly, I pulled the front bumper cover so that I could get to all the mount points, in the future I will just be able to bolt a new one to my mount points with out removing the bumper cover.
All my mount points utilize pre-existing holes, except for the two on the vertical left and right side of the grill.

here is one for $149, free shipping. It is off of a low mileage 2004 (33k miles) and mentions that it has a small deformation (easy to fix I expect). I have bought from this seller before (I just bought the instrument cluster from this seller of of the same car). It is indicated that it is from an sl500, however, it was an sl500 with the amg apperaance pak, so the grill will fit your sl55
