I can't seem to make this "Take Card from Car" message in red go away. The operators manual says something like "turn car off, exit and lock" and presumably the car knows you've taken the card. I take the cards out of range from the car and use the key...…...but the message is there on start up and shut down. No Codes are present. What's the trick here??
You need the MB STAR program to turn off the keyless go module, that's the only way to make that notification go away.
Thanks Myles, appreciated.
I went looking at the KLGo module in my STAR DAS, but didn't see a means of Deactivating it. Can you give me a clue where to look for that?
Also, is this deactivation a means of resetting it to clear the message "Don't forget your keycard"? I will I need to leave it deactivated??
Thanks again,
MK

I'll need to take a look tomorrow, but I think it's under BODY > EZS Module > EIS/Keyless Go...and you can deactivate it there.
I found the KLGo module and deactivated it and that did the trick. I had hoped I could reactivate it and see the message go away, but it came back so I left it deactivated which is a be un nerving as I have only one key and 2 backup KLGo cards that both work.
Here's the location is STAR/DAS:
Control Units > Information and Communication > ICM Instrument cluster and Maintenance Interval display > Control Unit Adaptations > Variant Coding > Special Equipment > Keyless Go.
Note that using this same string I also and separately picked the TeleAid or E Call module and deactivated it to get rid of the pesky to Activate TeleAid or something similar.
Now happy to report that I get none of the messages! Unhappy to report that I should be considering a back up key.
