There's a set on ebay right now: 65 wheels Best chance now is to find replicas, I regret selling my factory wheels.

Without going in to details, my experience with that seller was pathetic. They are a broker that sells wheels they don't actually have..AVOID!

I did buy a beautiful & like new full set of these wheels from a private and reputable seller last year. I put that set on my SL65 and put the originals away as spares. These two piece AMG wheels (particularly the rear wheel barrels) are a limited resource and I would bet there are 3x as many ads for them as there are actual serviceable units. The internet is replete with wheel broker scammers and other people that are all too happy to sell you a wheel they don't have or one with a welded up barrel that you wouldn't want to attach to 700+ pound/ft of torque.

I remember many years ago when I was looking for an SL65, contacting a seller from NY who had some terribly gaudy aftermarket chrome wheels on his SL65. I asked him over the phone if he still had the factory wheels and he arrogantly and laughingly told me "man I threw those things in the trash!". And I remember thinking to myself....wow....not only did you put some cheap, and ugly, wheels on your $200k MSRP vehicle, but then you threw away the original 2-piece wheels as if they were 14" steel hubs???? And with arrogance!... My goodness.

"My goodness" is right. Wheels & their look is subjective, but I also shake my head when I see an SL65 without them. These two piece wheels are sooo nice, I wish they would make them again. I finally found a perfect set from an honest fellow, but the journey to get them was frustrating. I spent a lot of time on the phone and came to realize that in the wheel business, some fancy internet sites aren't what they seem. You envision a big warehouse of wheels, but when you research the "business" & Google map them, they are some dudes working out of their house. They advertise product they don't have, then go in search of it after they take your money. I've been sent S/CL wheels instead of SL wheels and this after repeatedly confirming the correct p/n. I've also received welded wheels that were completely misrepresented. Shysters!
