HVAC Control Unit Help
I inherited these 2008 SL65 active codes related to the communication with the Left and Right damper servos in the HVAC unit:
B1453, B1455, B1456, B1457, B1458, B1465, B1466, B1560, B1561, B1562, B1563.
The COMMAND radio, upper console, and as well as the ashtray were caked with sugary milkshake/Starbucks residue that I cleaned off. I returned the radio functions successfully. I suspect the HVAC controller was affected by the same sugar spill in the damper control area. The fan control, AC, Recirculation, front and rear defrost, REST, and Off buttons work correctly.
There is not a whole lot of information online specific to this condition.
1) I can replace the unit ($US < > 500 rebuilt).
2) I can try and clean the sugar out of the HVAC controls and see if the electronics return to proper function.
Has anyone had these codes and was anyone able to clean the controls to correct these codes?
