Supercharger pulley belt shredding

Hey everyone-
If anyone in the forum is an engine accessory expert, I would appreciate any suggestions or input with my issue. I own an 03 SL55 amg.
I bought and installed a UPD belt wrap kit a while ago and have had 3 S/C belts shred on me.
I noticed the smooth pulley that was supplied with the kit had a lot of bearing play so I contacted UPD and was given a replacement. Well, upon numerous hard accelerations the belt eventually shredded again. The replacement pulley from the kit had the identical excessive bearing play again. I installed another pulley from a different supplier but had the same belt failure. The bearings on that pulley also had a lot of play.
Presently, I'm bypassing that pulley [with the BWK still installed] and the belt is not shredding. Is there a reason why those pulleys keep failing?
Thanks for any input.
Mark

The only thing that was changed was the addition on the UPD belt wrap kit or?
I haven’t put mine on yet but is it possible the spacers are not in the correct places? Who did the install?

I did the install as I stated in my post. If I had the spacers in the wrong place the belt wouldn't be perfectly centered on the pulley which it is. I'm wondering if my tensioner can be the cause. Hoping to get more detailed replies.

What does UPD say? I’ve found them to be very responsive.

I have been using the UPD beltwrap kit on my SL55 for years (5,6,7?) and never had problem but started throwing belts (3) last year. After I ruled out everything else, I speculated the plate for extra pulley was flexing (allowing the pulley and then belt to come out of alignment with the next pulley). I removed it, re-enforced it, and have not had a single problem since. Not sayin this is the problem in your case (or a problem in a any case), just that it is no longer a problem I am having.
