Hi group.
I wanted to get feedback from the group on replacing my accessory battery with an Optima H6 deep cycle AGM battery. It has a few more CCA than the OEM battery, but in my experience with my other diesel Mercedes, the Optima lasts longer than the OEM MB battery. Has anyone used the Optima battery for their R230? (2008 SL65 AMG)
I have no insight on the Optima battery BUT I have learned a few things about changing the battery (at least on my 2004 SL55 with keyless go).
Do not have the key fob anywhere near the car when you change the battery as it may (will) reinitialize and cause the key fob to be in-op.
