The Dreaded SRS Warning Light
Hello guys,
I hope 2022 is treating everyone well. After 5 years of ownership I finally got the SRS warning light come on. It may have been triggered by a recent new alternator install and new batteries. I don't have access to STAR anymore since I moved 350 miles from my buddy who has one but, I do have a new iCarsoft MBII reader. I did some basic troubleshooting first - thanks for the many threads in here - and found no disconnected seat sensor wiring etc.
I plugged in the reader in the hopes of just getting an error code to start with but, the unit won't link to the SRS module/system. I says I may not have power to the unit, wire is not correctly plugged in or not have one! The reader is able to communicate with all other modules and components in the car! I have the firmware updated too. I found some threads where guys had the same issue with other readers - NO LINK ESTABLISHED- but none of the threads showed a resolution. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I need to check for? Fuse? Relay?
