Brake and ABC warning - visit workshop
Need thoughts on how to proceed.
2003 Sl55. Car has sat for about 6+ months without starting (on a tender) It does have a valve block leak I believe as it will slowly settle.
ABC fluid checks fine.
Brake fluid reservoir is filled to the top. When I say filled to the top, I mean to the fill lip almost not the max fill line so way over ful
Will disconnecting the batteries for a period help at all?

What exactly is the ABC warning saying? "ABC / drive carefully" and if you press the left button to acknowledge that you've read it, it goes away... but comes back eventually? If that's the case you may have failing accumulators and i would replace them plus the pulsation dampener, parts cost about $700 from FCPeuro if I recall. Continuing to drive with failed accumulator(s) will place too much pressure on the ABC hose and you don't want to have to replace one of those if you don't have to. They run at about 2800PSI normally, and accumulators keep that pressure from spiking to way more. Been there, done that.
You could disconnect batteries and see if everything returns to normal, but if you continue to get ABC/drive carefully messages it's 99% you need accumulators. Mine is a 2003 SL55 and there is no way to expect accumulators to last forever.... nothing does. Car is like new again.

Thanks all.
Things calmed down after a while. The ABC isn't responding to the levels button at the moment. I'm thinking the valve block is being cantankerous at the moment and will hopefully free itself up.
Note to self. Maybe a good idea to start the thing at least once a week and let things flowing.
I do have the battery visit workshop warning. Not sure things are charging at the moment. Changed the alternator about 8 months ago. Hope the BCM isn't the issue.
