2007 AMG SL55
E9….Unicorn of e sockets!!!!
So I’m trying to replace the crankshaft position sensor on a 2007 AMG SL55. Fortunately, it’s fairly easy to get to. Only problem is, the bolt seems to be an E9 E Socket which cannot be found by Mr Googlie!! I tried the 8 and 10, and they didn’t work. My next step is ask the garage I deal with if I can borrow one…if they even have it. But I thought before that I would ask y’all if there is a place that is hoarding all the E9’s that you might know of?

Try an English (Imperial) socket. Or a "grabber" or "gripper" type socket - a quasi-universal socket.
E9 sounds strange, lots of people report CPS change on this site and don't mention the socket.
