2009 SL63 IWC - Pricing Guide?
Howdy All,
Since I am somewhat of a newbie selling cars, I was wondering what the group thinks a 2009 SL63 IWC is worth? I have the entire set (watch & original window sticker) and since the car was so limited (only 63 delivered to the US, with a handful salvaged and modded), I think mine carries weight. The car is in excellent condition for its age and has just under 49k miles. Any help on pricing would be appreciated!

2009 IWC Edition
The used car market is a bit soft right now, so prices are down. I track all SL’s from ‘07-‘11 on the main auction sites (C&B, BaT, etc.). I have the same car with 16K miles, all service docs, watch, original window sticker, car cover, and luggage. Near mint condition. Never an accident. I’m the 2nd owner. Head bolts done. ABC flushed and serviced. With my mileage, I’m guessing $50-55K without the watch. Was higher last year. With your mileage, and depending on the condition specifics, my guess would be +/- $40-45K without the watch. Are the head bolts done on yours? That improves the value substantially as well.

I dont think the special edition cars hold much, if any more value. I look for cars with the options I want, not just a specific package

I agree with you on that, and would agree that “special editions” (IWC, Silver Arrow, etc) don’t usually have a big impact on the value other than the features and options that they come with. Maybe a slight $ tweak if the buyer really likes the look or the features of the edition, but that’s an individual preference. The AMG SL’s certainly do have an intrinsic collectible value though.
