Hi all,
I just bought a 2006 SL55, and it has a UDP 180mm crank pulley and belt wrap kit. I confirmed with UDP that a tune would have been required for this pulley, but how do I tell what's been done? I have SDS/WIS and a multiplexer etc, but am not a pro and there are sooooo many menus... and I'm not even sure I can see it with this setup, maybe need different software? Can someone please point me to the best source for this kind of information? Thx.

I've been told that my SL55's SC pulley looks to be an aftermarket one and so I might have a tune as well but don't really have any idea. The car really is so fast and powerful that it's very close to my SL600 with the V12 twin turbo which has a RennTech tune and about 725-HP. So if there was a way to know that would be cool. I was unaware that my 600 even had a tune until I took the ECU out of the car and sent it to the KLEEMANN guys when they had a flash summer sale and were offering their tuning for around $600. They contacted me saying "the other guys" meaning Renntech, had already done a tune and they were refunding my money and shipping the ECU back without doing anything to it. "We don't think you need to do anything to this thing!". Kudos to Kleemann for being honest. So maybe that would be the way to find out. Once I heard this, I asked the guy I bought the car from and he said, "Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, yes, it does have a Renntech, " He was afraid to say so for fear that would kill the deal. LoL

Yeah I think I'll have to see if my local tuner can tell whose tune is on the car. thx for your reply.
