2003 SL55 - High Pitched Noise audible only within cabin after tire change
Just had my tires changed, and initially after i left, the steering wheel wasn’t “locked” or at least that’s what Big O Tires said as I returned to the store because my steering wheel was off center. Immediately after, ive noticed a high-pitched noise from inside the cabin that will not subside. It is not audible outside the cabin and for awhile I thought i must have tinnuitis. Now i know for certain this is not the case. There is a high pitched noise that persists for as long as the car is on. I took my SL into a mercedes dealer for the Service B and they made no mention of it. I want to say that I used to hear this noise starting up the car, but after a moment or two, itd turn off. Now it persists. Has anyone encountered this issue? Very high pitched, persistent noise, audible only within the cabin “EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE”
Edit - the noise does not change with speed or driving, the same pitch regardless of use.
