SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Vented seats - in or out ?

Vented seats - in or out ?
I almost made the subject "suck or blow" - but anyway I read somewhere that the Merc vented seats don't actually blow air, they pull it in. Can anyone confirm that ?
Both our SL500 and now SL55 - the behavior is the same. I can hear the whatever it is "running" - just don't feel much at the seats themselves. I saw a video where the guy pulled the seat out and repaired an air line - but the other seat functions are working including pulse - which I thought was air powered but I don't know.
Any pointers here appreciated. My 55 is running so good now I need to find problems lol.

Thank you for replying to yourself. My crappy fan stopped working as well. Do you have a source for the less crappy fan that functions now?👍
