Correct throttle body for SL55 (current# A113-141-04-86)

Hello,

I need to replace the throttle body on my stock 04 SL55 AMG and not finding many options aside from eBay used items when I search for A113-141-04-86 which is what is stamped on the rubber protective cover of my TB.

I used the Bosch website to search for their part number which for my year/model they cross-reference as 0280750017 ( https://www.boschautoparts.com/p/thr...es-0280750017-) but when I pull that part up on other sides like FCP (https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mer...410125#fitment) it says the part doesnt fit.

Anyone replace one of these recently with a new Bosch throttle body and can confirm the correct part number and/or source to purchase? The genuine MB parts site doest even list a part option for this which is strange.

Thanks

RockAuto says the BOSCH 0280750017 does fit the 2004 SL55. They sell the throttle body (Bosch) for $298.

@tonylinc thanks I didn’t think to check rockauto but have bought many parts from them so I’ll look into this!

There are several m113k throttle body part numbers that when you look them up on eBay they physically look similar to mine but cannot determine the pin/connector specifics and if there would be any compatibility issues with a SL55

What I would do is call a Mercedes Benz dealership parts department, asking for the throttle body, for your car giving them the car's VIN number. They will then give you a price, etc., and then you ask for the part number. That is the part, that, according to their computers, should definitely fit the car. Then you can shop for that exact part, anywhere else, and probably find wildly varying prices. I learned this trick when buying brakes because some cars have AMG brakes as an option, etc., and if you get the "normal" brakes when doing the brake job, find that nothing fits, it's all the wrong parts. Doing this, I found that if you get exact cross reference to the correct part numbers the MB computer system says is right for the specific car, you'll get the right parts. Of course, when I bought brake parts I let them sit in my garage for over a year before putting them on the car, so I was then stuck with the wrong brake parts.
