SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Koodoos to Arnott on ReMan Strut


Called Arnott (re manufacturer of these and others) and they stepped right up, no questions asked other than they wanted proof of purchase which luckily, I'd kept (purchased through Parts Geek). Even covering the round-trip shipping via FedEx.
It seemed as I struggled to find any PoP, that they might have been willing to work with a picture and whatever date or marking on the unit.
Never found anything about their warranty, and that never came up either.
Only bad part is that now I have to R&R it again, but that sure beats the cost of buying another + the R&R.
If you're able to work on the car yourself, removing the strut isn't that hard - and probably the only way you're really going to be able to realistically fix it.
Suggest using a big zip tie to hold the bellow in place around the plastic cap, but you can see there's a ledge on that plastic cap - that actually holds the bottom of the bellows in place.
