Possible SC intercooler leak
Hello all, I am new here so apologies in advance if I do/say anything wrong! I am usually one to do all of my own diagnosis and work, but this seems beyond me. After installing a supercharger bypass valve delete, my 2003 SL55 AMG is having problems. On the first start after the repair, it started normally, then began to idle rough and choppy. My tuner told me it was fine and that it simply needed to idle for 10 minutes so the afr could reset itself. After attempting this, I took it for a test drive and, while it drove well at speed, it idled choppy and accelerated poorly. After sitting for a week, the car now produces decent amounts of white smoke from both the engine and the tailpipe while the engine struggles to start. The cooling system has been split so, because the engine coolant is neither low nor milky and the supercharger coolant was low, I’m lead to believe it is the supercharger cooling system with the problem. This also makes sense considering I had to remove the supercharger and it’s intercooler to install the bypass delete. However, I do not know how to find the leak if there is one and I’m terrified of hydrolocking my engine. Nothing is obviously wrong looking at the engine and I can’t find any coolant dripping/residue for the life of me. Any advice at all would be appreciated
