New Tires! Need help.
OK Tire Guru's, I need some help. The rear tires on my SL55 are probably as bald as they can be, as with the front tires maybe a drive away from going bald, and I will be going to the shop to buy new tires this coming week. The car came stock with the Pirelli Rosso's, and they have lasted me quite a few miles, close to 14,000.
I've been reading about the new Michelin PS2's, and would like to know if these are a good buy? Compared to the Pirellis, are they better? Why / Why not?
Hopefully you guys can help me make my decision, I plan on ordering them today and hopefully have them put on by next week.
Appreciate the help!

I just changed tires on my 04 SL55. Got 11,500 on the orig Rossos. I couldn't find P2s in our size, so I bought regular Pilot Sports. Much more tread and quiet and so far so good.

SL 55 tyres ..
Hello Dinko
Which size do you have on your SL? 18" or 19" ??
I am only "allowed" to use the Bridgestone RE050 - but they are not bad at all - my first experience with this kind of. The first set lasted 22.000 km ( included about 1800 km on race tracks) and they have not been finished with this mileage ... just changed them, cause the weather on the Nürburgring was really bad (rain, fog, slippery) and therefore I changed the old set to a new one.
kind regards from France
Walter

Appologies for the delay in my response! Happy Holidays everyone!
Walter: They are the stock multi-spoke tires.
I ended up with the same tires that came stock (Rossos)
They ended up being the best buy; had them put on today.
