Good afternoon all. I have a SL55 AMG 2003 and I think the fuel tank baffles are loose. I'm based in Essex and am asking if the forum members know of people who can repair this (reasonably close to me) without the need for a new fuel tank? Thanks

These have been talked about a lot on the forums, what some people do is access the tank then using a Home Depot (one-piece steel) home water main shutoff tool, reach in there and bend the baffle so that it won't move inside there any longer. Other prople install strong magnets, etc., you can look on youtube also on this forum "gas tank baffle", etc. You certainly do not have to replace the fuel tank! Often, you will hear a lot less noise from it moving if the tank is kept between half full and full, rather than below half a tank.
