That car can be bought in mint condition with less than 10k miles for high 80's 90max. 13k less for a car with former damage and a salvage title is crazy. Anyone willing to buy it with a salvage title will pay much less than that.

Apart from the obviously overblown price, I wonder about the honesty of someone willing to claim the SL was "slightly damaged in the front" and that minor damage resulted in a salvage title.

"salvage does not mean the repair cost is more than the value of the car, there are many reasons why the car can be salvage on is if the clam was not settled in 30 days, the customer has the to total the car. The damage was in the front, hood and grill was replaced, the fenders, head lights, bumper and suport, radiator, ac condencer and all the clamps and hoses."
I wouldn't touch this car!!!

I think everyone would run from a salvage title on such an expensive car. I have to believe that the damage was severe. Originally Posted by Juice it

More importantly, is there a big spread between asking and selling price on the SL 55? I'm toying with the idea of one but typically haven't seen them advertised for this low of a price? Autotrader returns over 250 for sale so there seems to be plenty available, which leads me to think the market maybe softer than the asking price implies?
Thanks!
