Anyone have experience with one or the other in your AMG?
I had AS3+ on my SL550 and was generally quite pleased with the comfort and grip, although the sidewall was a bit soft.
As I work through the remaining tread on the Contis on the new AMG, I am looking for a potential all season option so I can continue to spend time In the seat this fall in colder rainy weekends.
I’ve read that the newer all season 4s don’t really add much in terms of benefit other than an overly stiff sidewall. The key for me is having a tire that doesn’t turn to rock below 55 degrees.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or input!

No AS4s on the AMGs I get to drive... but my wife's Tesla Model X has AS4s and while they are considerably better from a grip and treadwear standpoint than any other performance All-Season I have used, they ride ROUGH, especially in the cold. Yes, mine are 35 series on 22" wheels, so there's effect there, but they're significantly stiffer than the pirellis of the same size they replaced. And I've never felt a ride this rough in the AMGs I've driven with AS3+ tires.
Those AS4s have MAGIC levels of grip in the dry though. Amazing they're all seasons.

A few months late, Abe, but thanks for the feedback. Actually I went with the AS4s and have not experienced nearly the harshness you suggest, although the sidewall is much stiffer than the AS3s I had on my SL550.
