ABC Suspension Wheel and Tyre easily lift

Hi All
I have just joined and have realised I posted this on the wrong forum and will close it

I bought a rather nice in appearance SL63 from a MB dealer at distance but I did go there and give it a short test run
It seemed fine
On arrival by trailer it had a not related to this problem and went into the local MB dealership and they also found a leaking rear ABC Shock
That they replaced under warranty as was the other work but afterwards the suspension was banging at the back on the other side they had it back but said nothing was wrong
Far from helpful.............. whereas the seller dealership say they will pay to fix anything found wrong down here
So I took it to an independent a fair way away from me for an inspection really just as the MB seller was 200 miles away

The independent pointed out to me the other rear wheel, when up on a X ramp with wheels dangling, pushes up easily and let me try and its simply put your finger tips up and it moves SO effortlessly
The new ABC shock side will not move at all
However, when I asked why they say its worn but will not comment more or what is worn nor do they wish to be involved in against BM claim
I do not have any problem with that attitude and they thought unless it actually leaked a Warranty would not cover a replacement cost

Its gone back to the selling dealership to sort that and another problem that the MB dealership near me did not sort out
So what would you all think is the ABC problem given the pressures in a ABC system it seems illogical to easily move any wheel!
This has been going on for weeks especially as the ABC shock that was replaced came from Germany and it takes 5-10 days and the first to arrive was the wrong part near a month slowly passes...............
So it’s been here over 5 weeks now and only to and from the garage but for an odd initial drive out or testing now I will not drive it as the front is going light on a not fast bend.......... if it was the rear that would just be FUN grin
I would like opinions before getting the sellers response

Well I am told the rear nearside shock is really OK ? dispite the movement and another dealership owned by MB said all was OK and never found it the problem despite having it for weeks.
A independat looked at it for me at nil cost hence back to main dealerships
Whatever, it’s being replaced at no cost to me so that is both rears changed then it should get a rodeo test....
The big problem yet again is a few days ago is it was 10 days away in Germany but now hopefully it will be here Friday then its a UK bank holiday so its going to be 2 months since the car car was delivered and have only had 2 days out in it
THAT has to be a record!!!
The rest of the time its been either with the MB owned dealership or waiting to go back this is the 3rd time and going back to the seller MB dealership to do what should have been fixed the first go by the actually owned by MB dealership!
It was originally back for a few other reasons but onot all sorted and all this with only under 21000 miles
Once all is sorted I will write about the rest..............Its a very sad tale for MB customer service and the seler dealership comes out best in all this

Still that assumes all is sorted this time around

So despite buying for a late part of this Summer it has all been wasted................
