Just purchased a 2011 SL63 and the OEM wheels on the car have been powder coated gloss black. They look positively horrible on an Iridium Silver SL63. Any advise on where I can obtain a set of OEM wheels without resorting to the dealer? The OEM for the car are the 5 spoke/3 slot wheels but the 5 spoke/2 slot wheels of the performance pack or the 10 spoke off the SL65 would be fine too. Apologies if this is in the wrong place, just new to the site and want these wheels gone!
Thanks for any wisdom you can share. The black wheels have to go!
ebay. You should go to 20" and you should get the 10 spoke 20" wheels in black. they have polished ring and look great on a silver car. This is one but they have sets of them regularly. https://www.ebay.com/itm/30386300181...YAAOSwJlVhM5PG
Or the sport style wheel, they have sets regularly.
Why not just take them to a powder coated and have the black blasted off, and repainted whatever color you want? Will cost a fraction of what new wheels will cost.

tc, you are wise. Spoke with my detailer and that is exactly what we are doing. We are going to have them blasted and polished, paint the cups and inside hub the factory silver, then clear the wheels. They will look better than factory for considerably less than replacing.
