Retrofit Steel Pads and Iron Rotors to SL63 with Ceramic Brakes?
I’ve done a search and could find any information about this topic as it pertains to the R231 SL63.
I don’t imagine it makes a difference but the car in question which prompted this thread is a facelift 2017 AMG SL63.
I’m wondering:
(1) If anyone has either performed this operation
(2) If anyone knows about someone else who performed it;
(3) Approximate costs involved, parts and labor;
(4) Are we talking OEM retrofit, aftermarket retrofit, or both?
(5) If it’s even possible on R231 SL63;
(6) General thoughts

I would be interested in a possible steel for ceramic swap but I guess the question is why you would want to?
