R231 Roof stuck after manuel part lift

SL 63
R231 Roof stuck after manuel part lift
Hi All,
Hoping someone has come across this before.

I parked the car with the roof down in the garage; the battery went flat. So, I opened the boot with the key and manually lifted the roof 10 inches to get access to charge the battery. All was fine; however, now the roof element will not go back down, and the rear light is flashing.

Is there a release for the roof to enable it to drop back in place?
